I can’t help but start with the weather, so very British of me I know. I had the best mini summer last week and Isabelle got to wear her sun hat for one last time, and she totally rocked it. So much so she made a young man walking passed us say that Isabelle made him feel broody! Gone are the days where a young man will complement me, ogle, try their luck…no it’s all about Izzy now. Gorgeous little thing. We spent the day at Greenhead Park with Helen and Lizzie from NCT and their gorgeous boys Adam and Henry. Yes, we ate cake and yes, we caught some much-needed vitamin D whilst the boys enjoyed a nudey kick about in the sunshine, well why not. The rest of us kept our clothes on!
The following evening I met my lovely friend Soph for a meal, we decided to meet half way-ish so I wasn’t too far away from Isabelle, which gave us the dizzy heights of Birstall.
As it had been so hot during the day we sat outside and ate at Bella Italia. I felt like I was almost in Italy had it not been for the M62 motorway sign I could see over the bushes. I needed that evening out, I really missed Isabelle and gave her a super big cuddle when I got home but I do need baby free talk from time to time. You need to find a balance.
Isabelle went to her second Rhythm Time class on Tuesday and if there was a report card it would read: Isabelle has shown great strength in her drumming skills, so much so she is very reluctant to hand back the drum stick, holding onto it with her super tight grip. Her attention span is very short and it has been noted that she fell asleep during bubble blowing time. Must work harder on her arm and leg coordination.
In other news: I just love how Isabelle is trying to find her thumbs, it’s very cute. I put her to bed with her sleeve mitts over her hands and by the morning she’s managed to poke just her thumbs out. I like to think she is giving my Mummy skills the double thumbs up either that or she’s impersonating The Fonz Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
