As you may know by now – not that we’ve been shy about it – our exclusive collaboration with Liberty London is here. We’re been busy working away for the last year on a collection fusing our great products with Liberty London’s iconic prints. And now the time has come to unleash it on the world.
We knew we wanted to launch this collection in style and the obvious choice of venue was Liberty itself. The elegant period architecture is stunning and you can almost feel the generations of shopping heritage as you walk around – why go anywhere else?
So we didn’t.
We wanted to invite everybody to the launch event – however, limited space (and health and safety) meant this couldn’t be possible. So we invited a specially selected group of mums to come and join the fun. Working with the always game-for-a-laugh Mothers Meeting, we compiled a who’s who of mums in the London area and it was great to be able to share this big day with them.
Not that spending the day inside the enigmatic Liberty London wasn’t enough; we also put on a range of activities for the busy mums and inquisitive tiny tots in toe. With a specially prepared breakfast of champagne, pastries, coffee and bagels – plus milk for the little ones – it proved to be quite an eventful morning.
The bafflingly brilliant people from GifGif were on hand, letting us pull funny faces and strike dashing poses, then creating and uploaded amazing moving pictures, capturing the day’s fun. To see them, head over to the exclusive Mamas & Papas Liberty GifGif page.
A face-painting expert created everything from Ninja Turtles and tigers to fairies and mischievous monsters and truly talented lady was helping us create some stunning flower headbands. These went down exceptionally well with mums and little ones alike.
As well as this, we had help from the awesome ladies at Dinky Do Dah, who provided some excellent nail painting skills. Whether you want a Minion, a unicorn or a strawberry, if it’s on the on the end of your finger they’ll paint it.
The launch proved to be incredibly popular with not only our MM mums, but also a specially selected group of mummy bloggers. They were able to get up-close to our new collection and they loved it. We treated them to some afternoon tea, pink lemonade and the very popular cupcake making station, and we had a great time getting to know them a little better.
Well today’s the day. So don’t hang around – liberate your little one with Liberty.
